Equinix has signed its fourth renewable-power purchase agreement in Singapore in two years, adding at least 11.5 megawatt-peak of rooftop solar capacity through a contract with Flo Energy.

The agreement includes an option to expand to as much as 50 megawatt-peak. Equinix said its four Singapore agreements are expected to support a cumulative renewable portfolio of 215 megawatt-peak by 2028 and generate about 250,000 megawatt-hours of electricity a year.

The contract is modest beside the power demand of modern AI facilities, but strategically important in a market that controls new data center capacity closely. It gives Equinix another long-term supply instrument while Singapore tries to reconcile digital growth with land, grid and carbon constraints. Globally, the company has contracted more than 1,490 megawatts of wind and solar capacity across 11 countries.
